I love stories. I glimpse something in the people I meet and photograph—a part of their story. Capturing that often hard-to-discern truth on film? Well, that's just the best. Sublime. My love of photography goes back as far as I can recall. From the albums of my family that I pored over as a child to my first professional camera. Always coexisting with my interest in photography was my love of narrative; the latter led me to graduate degrees in literature and a teaching position at a Manhattan prep school for a time, but the former would eventually become my passion. Clients and peers have dubbed my work whimsical yet contemplative, coy yet exuberant. If you ask me, I just like a good story. Perhaps my two loves of photography and literature are not as disparate as they once seemed. Everyone has a story—I can't wait to document yours.
